Transformational Breath® is a gentle, yet powerful, breath technique developed by Dr Judith Kravitz. It uses a conscious breath pattern that enables the opening up of the whole of the respiratory system.
A typical session lasts about 1½ – 2 hours, about one hour of which is devoted to breathing. Sound and gentle movement are also used, as well as a system of “body mapping”: pressure on certain points (similar to acupressure points) that have become blocked where you may have habitually held your breath to avoid stress. You will be asked to lie comfortably on a mattress on the floor, or sit on a comfortable chair, if this is easier for you. You will not be asked to remove any clothing.
The breathing experience may also be supported by the setting of goals and intentions at the beginning of a session and the use of appropriate positive affirmations. Coaching techniques are sometimes used to help you frame your own goals and “next steps”. Music is usually played throughout the session, to promote this unique form of active relaxation.

By learning to breathe more efficiently, you will find you have more energy and vitality. During a session, you are effectively giving yourself ‘an internal massage’ efficiently clearing toxins, stimulating the immune system and enabling the efficient exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the body. The conscious breath pattern also enables the clearing of old emotional memories that may have been in your body a long time, even from birth. Once a balance between your mind and body is achieved you may experience the opening or deepening of your spiritual awareness towards the end of the session.
While we make no claims to cure any illnesses, we have experience of the positive effects this technique can produce and the support it can provide. Once you have had four to eight sessions with a Certified Transformational Breath® Facilitator you will be able to use this technique on your own for the rest of your life.
